Colorado is uniquely positioned to take advantage of research innovation
in alternative and renewable energy.
- Jeffco will be a world leader in renewable and alternative
energy research and development. This includes solar,
wind, and biomass.
- We need to hold the line on energy costs by
rapidly diversifying energy sources.
- Jeffco will build its burgeoning energy industry
based on the outstanding work of NREL, the Colorado Energy Resources
Institute, and our five research universities in the state.
- Public utilities should rapidly expand their use of
alternative energy and ensure that new refineries use
the most current technology to protect air from pollution and
the atmosphere from global warming.
- Energy companies and the state should support individual
efforts to reduce energy use in residences and businesses.
- Overseers of public utilities should represent the communities
and people the utilities serve, not the utilities
serving these communities.
