Common Sense Leadership
For State Senate District 22
|
|
Who she is
Paula is a straightforward, down-to-earth person. She wants
Jeffco to be a great place for raising and educating kids,
living in a thriving community, and creating prosperity for
families, businesses, and retirees. Paula will bring her energy,
honesty, humor, and commitment to common sense thinking and
sensible solutions to the State Legislature.
Paula is a wife, mother, grandmother, educator and businesswoman.
She’s lived in Senate District 22 for over 20 years.
She’s a committed volunteer for projects dedicated to
improving the quality of life in Jefferson County. She spearheaded
the bond campaign that built Dakota Ridge High School and
launched the first renovations in 20 years of schools all
over Jeffco. |

Beliefs
When Paula was a young kid, she learned from her resourceful
mother that problems, even the big ones, have solutions, if
you think long enough, work hard enough, and bring people
together. She firmly believes that Colorado has a tremendous
opportunity, right now, to take on the big issues and create
solutions that will last for decades. She knows the time to
act is now.

What She Loves to Do
Paula loves to hang out with her three grandkids, even when
they’re cranky. She is, in fact, a grandkid doter. She’s
an avid golfer and president of the Wellshire Women’s
Golf Club. She has yet to win the Wellshire Club championship,
however. She is curious, so loves to read and travel, especially
with family and friends.

Paula’s Golf Tips
for Couples
- Don’t give ANY advice to your spouse unless asked.
- If your spouse plays a lot and you’re just learning,
play with someone other than your spouse until you’re
good enough that you can hit in the low 100s or high 90s.
That advice can save your marriage.
- Don't get a hole-in-one when the club house is full.
- Set up your mulligan rules on the first hole.
- Bet on who makes dinner – it forces concentration
and it’s fun when you win.
- Love the competition and the social aspects of the game.
It’s a great game to get good at, and you’ll
never be as good as you’d like to be.
- When you break a decade for the first time (100’s,
90’s, 80’s,70’s), make sure you go to
the 19th hole to celebrate.
- If you get mad at each other during play, make sure you
kiss and make up by the last hole.
- Be gracious when your spouse sinks the winning putt.
- Win the next time.
